DRW Case 3-1: Confronting CURE is a case in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is a cutscene only.

Overview

After taking down the psychopathic CURE activist Brandon Whittaker, Frank West returns to the Safe House to demand answers from Stacey Forsythe.

Stacey insists that CURE had nothing to do with that; Brandon was just some newbie to the cause that was manipulated by Tyrone King. Frank believes that TK paid Brandon to sabotage Terror is Reality, but is not sure why.

Suddenly, Frank directs Stacey's attention to the security monitors. They notice two ominous figures at the entrance to the Maintenance Tunnel. Stacey mentions that they are moving equipment in an organized fashion.

Sensing a lead, Frank decides to investigate. As he leaves, Stacey reminds him that more is at stake - clearing her name.

Suspicious activist

Frank: All right, you and I need to talk. That guy? He's part of your group. He pretty much admitted it to my face and I saw him take money from TK. Stacey: That guy... he was new to CURE. We wouldn't do this. But that cutthroat TK might. You have to believe me. Frank: I'll tell you what I believe: TK paid him to destroy his own show. But why? Hey - what was that? [Frank and Stacey turn to the monitors and notice some suspicious activity taking place.] Stacey: I don't know - it looks like something's going on at the entrance to this maintenance tunnel. I can't quite tell for sure, but it looks like someone is moving equipment or something... it looks pretty organized. Frank: Might be survivors, might be a lead. I'm going to find out right now. Stacey: Listen... Frank... Frank: What? Stacey: Nothing. Just... I know this is a great opportunity for you, but there's a lot more at stake.
