The Dead Rising Demo is a demo of Dead Rising released before the final version of the game.
The game begins on the 19th at 4 pm, after the Case 1-1:A Dangerous Encounter cutscene. Frank can explore all of Paradise Plaza, except for Colby's Movieland.
Differences with Frank[]
- Frank West begins at level 10
- Frank has 6 life bars and inventory spots instead of the 4 life bars and inventory spots Frank starts out at in the regular game.
- Frank's status is higher than normal.
- Frank begins with the skills: Jump Kick, Zombie Ride, Kick Back, and Flying Dodge.
- He begins with a shotgun, sickle, and sledgehammer.
- There is no map or notebook.
Other mall areas[]
- Frank can only explore the Paradise Plaza. If he leaves for another area, the game is over.
- When entering Entrance Plaza the beginning Mark of the Sniper cutscene plays, then the game is over.
- When entering the Warehouse The Queen cutscene plays, then the game is over.
- When entering the Colby's Movieland A Strange Group cutscene plays, then the game is over.
- When entering the Leisure Park a daytime version of the Prisoners cutscene plays, then the game is over.
- The Maintenance Tunnels Door is locked.
Information screens[]
- There is no initial explanation screen when Frank is first grabbed about how to break out of a zombies' grasp. Instead the blue globe ticker appears and states:
- There is no information screen when Frank first tried to use the blender.
Demo and full game similarities[]
- The Prestige Point stickers are present, and Frank receives prestige points for taking pictures of them.
