DRW Case 7-2: The Only Lead is a Dead Rising 2 case.

Chuck Greene travels down into the underground tunnels to investigate the source of the mutagen gas blanketing the city. After fighting past mutated Gas Zombies and a group of Mercenaries, Chuck reaches the entrance to a secret laboratory, where he witnesses a strange device which emits a sonic frequency that causes the heads of a group of nearby zombies to explode. Several Queens fly out of the bodies, and are sucked up into a large vacuum tube in the ceiling. Chuck enters the lab and encounters two hostile scientists, Mark Bradson and Pearce Stephens. Chuck kills both men, then accesses their laptop computer. Though he is unable to stop the flow of gas to the surface, Chuck does find some disturbing information: the scientists were working for Phenotrans, the company that manufactures Zombrex. Realizing that the company must be the ones truly responsible for the outbreak, Chuck takes the laptop and heads back to the safe house, eager to clear his name and give Rebecca Chang the story of a lifetime.

Chuck discovers the secret lab

Mark: These queens are fully mature. We are exceeding estimates.

Pearce: You should call the doctor and let him know that we're going to start preparing the harvest for shipping.

Mark: Yeah, things are going just as predicted. Absorption of the compound is at 80% of ideal, and maturation rates are 10 times normal. The harvest is going according to -

Chuck: Hey, poindexters!

Mark: Who the hell are you? You're not supposed to be in here!

Chuck only receives the Lab Key Card after killing Mark and Pearce, but no prestige points for killing the two lab psychopaths.^[1]
